3 Days From Marrakech To Merzouga Desert Tour
DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – ATLAS – AIT BENAHDDOU – DADES GORGES
After meeting your guide we are going to start driving from Marrakech, through the high Atlas mountains where we are going to cross Tizi nTichka pass(the highest zigzag road pass in morocco 2260m). We will have enough time to stop and enjoy the wonderful landscapes. We will visit the World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. It is a Berber Kasbah which has been used as a backdrop for many films such as gladiator the mumy and so on. And was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where nomad caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory, and salt from countries of the blacks to Marrakech. Lunch in Ouarzazate, the way we’ll enjoy the landscapes of Berber villages before arriving at the last village in the roses valley which is Boumalen Dades, overnight in a Kasbah Hotel.
DAY 2 : DADES GORGES –
The following morning we will have breakfast at our guesthouse, and leave for the Todra Gorge. a fascinating site to visit. After lunch, on the way to Erg Chebbi, we will travel on to Merzouga To spend The night in the Desert Camp we arrive just before sunset to enjoy the dunes in the heart of the desert. Here we will get onto our camels. and traverse the Dunes of Erg Chebbi, and finish off at the Berber desert camp to rest up for the night, at the camp, you’ll enjoy an evening and live Berber music.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA –
n the morning we will get back to the dromedary and we will return to the hotel to have a good shower. We will use thof the day heading Ouarzazate through the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas. Arrival to Marrakech at 20.00pm approximately.
