DAY 1: FROM MARRAKECH TO HIGH ATLAS TO OUARZAZATE TO AGDZ

We will start our trip heading to Erg Agdz. Accompanied by a tour guide/driver to take us there. We will gaze at the landscape the road has to offer including berber villages in the High Atlas. Plus the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m) has stunning views to admire. We will take our lunch and continue to give Kasbah Ait Benhaddou a visit. The world UNESCO heritage since 1987 is a ksar (fortified village) that served as a strategic stop for caravans of camels, often numbering hundreds, on the trans-Saharan trade route from Sudan to Marrakech carrying gold, silver, and slaves and returning with salt. Another kasbah awaits us on our way via Tizin’tchka pass. This kasbah located in Telouet village has been there since the 17th century. On our way, we will not miss the opportunity to give Ouarzazate a visit, known for its cinema studio where famous productions were filmed such as Games of Thrones. Then we shall continue our drive through the biggest palm trees oasis: Daraa Valley to arrive later at Agdz to spend the night.

DAY 2 : FROM AGDZ  TO TAMEGROUTE TO ZAGORA TO M’HAMID EL GHIZLANE TO CHEGAGA DUNES

After breakfast, we will head to visit Zawiya Nassiriya in Tamegroute and also the Koranik library to discover the history and culture of the region. We will stop afterwards in M’hamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the completely virgin Sahara desert and take lunch. Finally comes the camel trekking that we will be experiencing to get into Erg Chigaga dunes and enjoy a magical desert sunset among the sands.

Overnight in a desert camp under a stunning star view.

DAY 3 : FROM CHIGAGA DUNES TO IRIKI LAKE TO FOUM ZGUID TO TAZENAKHT TO AIT BENHADDOU

A trip in the sahara desert is not complete without enjoying one of the most magical sunrises. We will wake up early to be able to enjoy it then go afterwards to the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid passing by Iraqi lake and enjoy a delicious lunch at Tazenakht known for its antic rugs. Our last stop will be at the UNESCO site Ait Benhaddou where will spend the night.

DAY 4 : FROM AIT BENHADDOU TO MARRAKECH

Next to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, another kasbah awaits us on our way via Tizin’tchka pass. This kasbah located in Telouet village has been there since the 17th century by the ruling El Glaoui family that was as strong in power as the sultan himself. Telouet is perfect when it comes to exploring the surrounding countryside. Afterwards, we will keep gazing at the landscapes the road has to offer, especially those of berber villages, until we arrive at the famous Marrakech and drop you off at your hotel / airport.
